DOCK / PORT LABELS
LABELS COLLAPSE BELOW
Below the threshold docks render as dots only; small labels appear at the threshold, full pills two zoom levels above it. The zoom readout on the map (bottom-left) shows the current level.
Override: hide rectangular dock/port label pills at every zoom. Dots, hover, click, filters, and info surfaces remain active. The currently-highlighted destination dock keeps its pill visible.

ETA SPEED ASSUMPTION
10 kts
Used to compute travel time in the MEASURE tool and vessel ETA calculations.
MARKER PULSE
Instance-wide. "Action needed only" reserves rings for inbound vessels awaiting mooring and sailings near point time; other dispatch vessels show no ring (still visible and listed).
STATIONARY VESSELS
Default OFF — vessels that are moored, at anchor, or stopped for more than five minutes are hidden from the map and vessel list. Anything with a dispatch job, the selected vessel, marked targets and tracked vessels stay visible regardless.
BOATMEN DISPLAY
Boatmen-surface display toggles. Default OFF. Plumbing only — visual behavior is defined in the upcoming selection / visual-vocabulary work.
AIS DATA SOURCES
AIS data is pulled from configured sources in priority order (1 = highest). If the primary source goes offline, the next one fills in automatically.

Source types supported: AISStream.io (WebSocket API) · Direct NMEA TCP (local hardware, e.g. Comar R450-DG). Additional provider types can be added as adapters.
CHART LAYER ENDPOINTS
Tile URLs are fetched directly by the browser. Use standard XYZ format: {z}/{x}/{y} or {z}/{y}/{x} (Esri style).
When a provider changes or retires a service, update the URL here and click Save — no restart required.
